Christmas

Christmas

Step into twinkling streets and crackling hearths. A Christmas game might involve saving the town festival, delivering the last lost gifts before midnight, or softening a stubborn spirit with kindness. You could outsmart toy gremlins in the attic, ride a midnight sleigh across rooftops, or brave a snowstorm to reunite a family. The table feels warm and playful, filled with candlelight mysteries, carols, and hot cocoa energy. By the end, someone learns what truly matters, laughter echoes, and the lights shine a little brighter.

These sessions are perfect for one-shots and holiday events. Goals are clear and the stakes are relatable, so beginners settle in quickly. Families enjoy gentle wonder and silly antics. Teams appreciate a seasonal caper that rewards cooperation and quick thinking. Even veterans find twists in time limits, social puzzles, and festive magic. A professional Game Master keeps things flowing, offers spotlight for everyone, and weaves your traditions into the story. It's easy to run online or around a real table, fitting seamlessly into a busy season with mixed groups.

Our Game Masters run Christmas stories across various systems. D&D 5E for fantasy sleigh chases and goblin pranks. Kids on Bikes for small-town wonder. Fate for cinematic miracles. Monster of the Week for Krampus hunts. Call of Cthulhu for ghost-lit Victorian tales. Honey Heist or Lasers & Feelings for quick, humorous one-shots. The tone can be cosy and kid-friendly, heartfelt and reflective, or a touch spooky. Browse GM playstyles to match the vibe you want, then share your must-have traditions with the Game Master.

Common questions

What sets a Christmas adventure apart from a winter survival game?

Christmas adventures focus on generosity, connection, and a looming holiday deadline. You might deliver the final gifts before midnight, save a struggling pageant, or soften a grumpy heart. Challenges tend to involve social puzzles, comic mishaps, and clever problem-solving, rather than resource grinding or harsh conditions. If combat is included, it is brief and light-hearted. Anticipate clear scenes and a neat storyline that concludes by the end of the session. A professional Game Master ensures a hopeful and human experience, allowing space for your traditions.

Which systems suit Christmas, from cosy to spooky?

Dungeons & Dragons 5E embraces festive fantasy with sleigh chases and mischievous troublemakers. Kids on Bikes brings small-town wonder to life. Fate facilitates heartwarming miracles. Monster of the Week is perfect for Krampus hunts. Call of Cthulhu suits ghostly Victorian tales. Honey Heist or Lasers & Feelings offer quick, humorous capers. Our Game Masters can also tailor your preferred system to a holiday theme. Want to compare rules at a glance? Check the systems overview.

Is this a good choice for children or first-time players?

Yes. Christmas stories feature straightforward goals and gentle stakes. This helps new and younger players settle in quickly. A professional Game Master can offer pre-generated characters. They focus on teaching only the essential rules. They tend to favour puzzles, teamwork scenes, and nonviolent solutions. Consequences remain mild, such as lost time or mixed-up gifts. For children, the Game Master can remove frightening elements and shorten the playtime to 2 to 3 hours. You can approve themes in advance to ensure everything feels safe and festive.

Can you adjust the tone, from playful elves to Dickensian ghosts?

Absolutely. You choose the vibe. Go bright and silly with cookie capers. Aim for heartfelt and reflective moments, with reconciliations by the tree. Or lean a bit spooky, like Krampus folklore or candlelit ghosts. Outcomes remain uplifting. Before game day, the Game Master will confirm lines and veils. You set the do’s and don’ts and any must-have traditions. To find a style match, browse the GM playstyles.

What players have to say

  • Tom was brilliant! He was really great with the kids and very patient with his explanations. It was a wonderful evening and definitely worth doing again! The children asked the next day when we would be doing this again.

    Danny

  • First of all, I want to say that Sebastian was really great as a DM. For his first run as a booked DM, he did an excellent job. The 3 stars refer to the following: 1. We were disappointed that the adventure was labelled a One Shot yet wasn't a complete story. Discovering that there are two more parts wasn't very positive for us, as it meant there was no satisfying conclusion to the story. 2. As new players, it was difficult for us to understand the English character sheets in such a short time. In German, it would have been much easier. Even receiving the character sheets a few days in advance would have been helpful for preparation. 3. More guidance would be beneficial. Especially for beginners, a more linear one shot would have been preferable. We wasted a significant portion of the adventure time doing unnecessary things because we didn't fully understand how the game worked. Overall, I think the StoryForgers concept is really good and I see a lot of potential in it, especially for introducing new players to D&D. I hope you don't take my feedback the wrong way but see it as honest criticism. Best regards, Mario

  • Bryan was exceptional. We had a group with varying levels of experience, and he managed to keep everyone engaged and involved. His positive attitude made the game enjoyable for all. I really appreciated how he could clearly explain what was needed from our less experienced players while keeping our more seasoned players on their toes with his deep knowledge of the game. Everyone in our party had a fantastic time thanks to Bryan.

    Jeremy

  • Dayron was fantastic. Well-prepared, punctual, and had a brilliant sense of humour.

    Corey

  • Dayron was fantastic; he provided a brilliant experience. Thanks!

    The Merry Meeple

  • The game was really engaging. I got a game as a present for my boyfriend, who is very keen on it, and he was very pleased and appreciated Leonardo's professionalism. I don't have much experience with DnD, but I found the game to be quite straightforward and enjoyable.

    Marina

  • Baptiste was an excellent GM who adapted well to our group and helped us progress in this one-shot. However, there was one issue with the character sheets provided, as they were not complete or clear. Some of the French translations were rather approximate. For instance, our cleric was missing spells, including a healing spell, even though they were meant to have some.

    Pierre

  • Rachel was fantastic; my daughter and her friends left the game saying it was the most fun they’d ever had, and my daughter wanted to sign up for another session with her straight away. She was friendly, and her approach let the players fully immerse themselves in the game by giving them control over how they wanted their actions to unfold. I would definitely work with her again.

    John

  • A nice and clear first experience with D&D. Amber was able to explain and guide the game effectively, allowing us as players to quickly get into the flow and focus on the story. Collaborating with my colleagues to devise attack routes was an enjoyable activity and provided great insights into each other's characters, thought processes, and differences. Overall, I found it to be a very enjoyable session.
